(RTA) has stringent rules for school buses, which cannot speed over 80 km/h and
must have RTA - approved speed control devices. Each bus has a GPS system, a
first aid kit and a female attendant.

custom-built having many features like air-conditioning, computerised fare
equipment and electronically operated destination display system. All buses
have maximum 51 seats and allow 10 standing passengers. A few smaller capacity
buses serve passengers of inner CBD routes. A fleet of buses are maintained at
two high-tech bus depots - Al Awir and Al Qusais.
